Hole 3 Planting

As per the recent Greens Flash, hole 3 has been completed from a bunker building and sodding standpoint. In the last two days we have completed a planting the will screen out the pumphouse and Port Washington Boulevard. The planting consists of an assortment of Green giant arborvitaes, Alleghany viburnum's, and Knockout roses. They arborvitaes and viburnum's will provide year round screening as they retain their foliage.  Additionally the viburnum and roses will put out an assortment of white and reddish/pink flowers in the late spring and early summer. Below our photos of the planting and what the plants will look like as they mature.

A combination of hard and sheep fescue will be seeded amongst these plantings to create a naturalized look. The new cart path will be installed in the next week.  Once again, if your ball lands in the sodded area please pick it up and move it back out into the fairway.
